There is a direct relationship between Success and Failure or in this case Yes's and No's.

Let's explore this for a moment by looking at one of Major Leagues most famous baseball players, Babe Ruth.

His career spanned from 1914–1935 and he is remembered for his record 714 home runs, but what is not often mentioned is he also held the the record for 1330 stick outs.

Babe Ruth knew that in order to Succeed he had to be prepared to Fail, so when it was his turn to bat and standing at the plate he had a 1 in 2.86 ratio of hitting a home run.

There is no perfect batting average of 100%, so in order to succeed more you need to be prepared to fail more. In Babe Ruth's case, put a bat in his hands and place him in front of the pitcher and let him do what he does best.

Tom Watson Snr, then IBM chairman, was quoted as saying:

‘If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate.’ he also said
'Success is on the far side of Failure.'

So you don't succeed by avoiding failure, you must embrace failure and find out what does not work to find out what does work - then you succeed.
